Look for the golden Wisp near the right-hand entrance area of the Enchanted Forest. Steal 20 Forest eggs, fuse a Forest animal, steal an Eternal, then use Return the Wisp to open the Enchanted Tree. If Wisp is missing, start with the Speed and location checks.
Where is Wisp in Steal An Egg?
Wisp is in the Enchanted Forest, beyond Angels & Demons. Search the right side near the biome entrance and recommended-Speed board. Look for a small glowing golden spirit.
Walk close to the Your Wisp prompt and select Open (E on keyboard). Touch and controller prompts may differ. This opens the Grow Your Wisp quest menu.
The sealed tree is a separate landmark with a glowing spiral. Start with Wisp's quests before heading to its door.
Why is Wisp not appearing? Check your Speed
Community reports differ between 20B and 50B Speed. Players troubleshooting a missing Wisp commonly recommend 50 billion, so use 50B as a training target—not a guaranteed unlock threshold. Check your server's access prompt first.
- Check your current Speed and search the right-hand entrance area, not only the tree door.
- Read any access prompt your server displays. If training toward the reported target, enter 50,000,000,000 in the Speed Training Calculator with your measured training rate.
- If you already meet that target, try one rejoin or server change to rule out a loading issue.
- If it is still absent, keep a screenshot of your Speed, location and any message. Those details distinguish a progression restriction from a possible server issue.
For the difference between a recommended-Speed sign and a mandatory gate, see the Biome Speed guide.
How to complete the Wisp quests
Wisp has four growth stages and three quests. Complete them in order to unlock the next row. The egg task counts to 20; the fusion and Eternal tasks each count to one. After each task, reopen Grow Your Wisp and press Claim to advance.
- 1Steal 20 Enchanted Forest eggsStart the quest, bring a Forest egg back to base, then check the 0/20 counter before repeating the route. Eggs from other biomes are not the objective.
- 2Fuse an Enchanted Forest animalOnce this row unlocks, use matching Forest pets at the regular base Fuse Machine. The target is one fusion. Check the required inputs and fee before spending pets.
- 3Steal any EternalSteal an Eternal Egg and bring it back to base. Community walkthroughs allow any biome. Check that the 0/1 counter advances; this is a theft task, not an inventory-ownership check.
Does the Wisp fusion quest need one fusion or twenty?
One fusion, not twenty. The active Forest-animal objective shows 0/1. Twenty is the preceding egg task's target. Three input pets are not three quest completions: check progress after your first fusion.
The regular machine consumes three matching pets and a fee, and the result can be weaker. Review the Fuse Machine guide before choosing your inputs. This quest uses the regular machine, not the Forest's separate hidden fusion machine.
How to return Wisp and unlock the Enchanted Tree
Once all three quests are complete and claimed, select Return the Wisp. Go back to the tree and use Enter Enchanted Tree at the door.
If the door remains sealed, reopen the quest menu and check for an unfinished row, a Claim button or an unused return button.
What do you get after opening the tree?
Opening the tree leads to the Butterfly Net and Butterfly Bloom, where you can work toward Enchanted Essence. Wisp is the quest NPC, not a pet to add to your inventory. See the Enchanted Forest update summary for the other additions.
Enchanted Essence butterfly recipe
The Enchanted Mutation Shrine requires these butterflies for one Enchanted Essence:
| Butterfly | Required |
|---|---|
| Emerald | 240 |
| Sapphire | 115 |
| Amethyst | 40 |
| Radiant | 1 |
Enchanted Essence's reward card lists a guaranteed mutation. That refers to application success, not a 100% income increase; the earnings multiplier is not specified. If the shrine says Need More Butterflies, compare all four quantities with your inventory.
How to catch and convert butterflies
Collect the Butterfly Net inside the tree, equip it and catch butterflies during Butterfly Bloom. The butterfly converter trades lower-tier catches for higher tiers:
| Give | Receive |
|---|---|
| 10 Emerald butterflies | 1 Sapphire butterfly |
| 10 Sapphire butterflies | 1 Amethyst butterfly |
| 50 Amethyst butterflies | 1 Radiant butterfly |
The converter and Mutation Shrine do different jobs: trade up at the converter, then spend all four required types at the shrine. If you are saving for Essence, reserve its 240 Emerald, 115 Sapphire and 40 Amethyst before converting the rest toward a Radiant.
Mushroom puzzle, band instrument and hidden bridge
This optional route comes after opening the Enchanted Tree; it is not another Wisp quest.
- Find the mushroom room: climb onto the platform above the butterfly converter, then drop into the hidden entrance below.
- Repeat the musical pattern: watch the note move between the colored mushrooms, then hit them in the same order with your regular bat. The sequence grows as you progress. Follow your own pattern rather than copying a fixed color code; use the bat if a flyswatter does not register.
- Collect the instrument: once the puzzle opens the band room, talk to Jitterbug to receive it.
- Raise the bridge: equip and play the instrument at the gap beyond the band area. Cross the bridge to reach the hidden fusion room.
The hidden room's pedestals name Celestial Sunlion and Royal Skywhale. Check the machine's full requirements before committing valuable pets; reaching the room does not complete a fusion or guarantee its result.
Wisp quest not counting or progress stuck?
- Egg counter unchanged: confirm that the active task names Enchanted Forest and that you completed the return. Compare the counter before and after one attempt.
- Counter complete but next row still locked: press Claim on the completed task. For fusion, finish and claim the preceding egg task first.
- Fusion did not advance: confirm that the quest is active and the machine accepted Forest pets. Save the input and result screens before attempting another paid fusion.
- Eternal objective unchanged: make sure the theft task is active and check its counter after bringing the egg home.
- Wisp moved or vanished: check quest progress and the tree door. Players report Wisp staying at the tree after a return; use the quest menu to check whether any tasks remain.
Wisp FAQ
Are there three quests or four?
Three quests and four growth stages. Complete all three quests to unlock the return button.
Does Wisp progress save?
Yes—the Grow Your Wisp menu says your progress is saved, so you can work through the tasks over time.
Do I need Prism Geckos for the Wisp quest?
The objective asks for an Enchanted Forest animal, not Prism Geckos specifically. Use matching Forest pets accepted by the regular Fuse Machine.
Can I get the Wisp without reaching 50B Speed?
Reports differ: some players and guides quote 20B, others 50B. Check for Wisp and read any access message before spending time training to the higher target.
