Keep the limited Shop Monster Egg separate from the 1.5% Monster Chest Monstrous Egg. A dated screen review counts seven Shop cards including MECHA; update-note summaries count six base monsters plus Mecha variants. Preserve the observed scope instead of merging names or totals.
How to get the Egg you actually mean
- Monster Egg: open the Shop and find the matching limited offer. Check the price, currency and remaining offer time before choosing a pack.
- Monstrous Egg: follow the Hungry Monster feeding route, then check the Monster Chest reward panel. The reviewed panel shows this Egg at 1.5%, not as a guaranteed reward for every full feeding meter.
- An Egg carrying a Parasite: this is the feeding source. The visible attachment does not make its name, hatch pool or value identical to either reward above.
We inspected the Shop screenshot and chest screenshot on September 4. Their displayed labels differ. These are third-party captures, not a live inventory feed; their timers cannot establish today's availability.
Name the observation from its source and exact label
Select what produced the Egg and what the live UI actually said. The result chooses the narrowest safe label and the next evidence capture.
The reviewed reference panel names Monstrous Egg at 1.5%. This record has no complete observed label; the reference does not fill in your observation.
Open View Rewards and capture the exact 1.5% label before naming the Egg.

Check whether one Shop screenshot resolves the six-versus-seven scope
Enter only what is visible in the same dated offer. The result checks evidence completeness; it does not publish permanent odds, make a purchase recommendation, or call a Shop card an Index pool.
Seven visible cards including a MECHA card matches the dated screen-reading model. A useful Shop record also needs the visible timer, price or currency, and capture date.

Turn the dated Shop odds into repeated-pull probability
The seven visible percentages sum to 100%. The calculator assumes independent pulls, no pity system, and no Shop rotation; confidence thresholds are not guarantees.

Why current guides disagree
The inspected screenshot shows a limited Monster Egg offer with seven visible cards, including a 1% MECHA card. A card count does not by itself settle how base species and variants are indexed.
Two update-summary sources describe six named base monsters and rare Mecha variants. That can be a different counting scope from seven visible cards.
The separate panel names a 1.5% Monstrous Egg and specifies a guaranteed Monstrous Mutation. It does not display the Shop's Pet pool or a mutation income multiplier.
The official Roblox event page establishes MONSTERS ARE COMING, its date, host, and theme; it does not publish either Egg name, pool, price, or acquisition route.

The September 4 source check uses the published panels in Bloxodes' September 3 guide for the Shop/Chest distinction. Older guides using the names interchangeably are retained below as context, not as proof of a shared acquisition route.

Monster Egg FAQ
Are Monster Egg and Monstrous Egg the same in Steal An Egg?
The reviewed screenshots show separate contexts: Monster Egg is the limited Shop offer, while Monstrous Egg is the 1.5% Monster Chest reward. Similar wording in guides does not establish an identical hatch pool or acquisition route.
Where do you get Monster Egg?
The reviewed Shop screenshot shows Monster Egg purchase options. For the separately named Monstrous Egg, use the Hungry Monster feeding route and Monster Chest reward panel. Do not treat a Titan Temple map Egg as the Shop offer without its own label.
Is an infested Egg a Monster Egg?
Not by name alone. Current reports describe an infested Egg as a normal map Egg with a visible Parasite used to feed the Hungry Monster. That feed later produces a Monster Chest, which is a separate step.
Is Monstrous T-Rex Egg the same as Monster Egg?
A current gameplay report uses Monstrous T-Rex Egg for a giant timed hold event. Keep that longer observed context separate from Shop, Titan Temple, or Monster Chest Egg claims.
Does the Monster Egg Shop offer have six or seven pets?
A dated gameplay-screen review counts seven visible Shop cards, with MECHA as the seventh 1% card. Update-note summaries describe six base monsters with rare Mecha variants. These may be different counting scopes, so preserve the full card, timer, price, and Mecha wording instead of silently choosing one total.
Do 100 Monster Egg pulls guarantee MECHA?
No. Using the dated 1% Shop-card reading and independent pulls, 100 attempts give about a 63.4% chance of at least one MECHA card and about a 36.6% chance of none. No pity or guarantee is assumed.
